Introduction

Renviel is a desktop app for the coding agents you would otherwise run in a terminal. You sign in to each one inside the app, keep your accounts apart, and work with all of them in one window.

Renviel doesn't replace those tools or change them. Each turn starts the agent's own command-line tool on your computer, with the account you chose, in the folder you chose. Your conversations and files stay on your computer.

What you need

  • macOS 13 or later, or 64-bit Windows 10 or 11.
  • An account with a provider whose coding CLI Renviel supports. Most use the subscription you already have; a few take an API key.
  • The CLI itself. If it isn't installed, Renviel installs it when you add the account.

The parts

An account is one sign-in to one CLI. A session is a conversation in a folder, run by one account at a time. You can move a session to another account whenever you like, and Renviel writes a note so the next agent knows what has happened so far.

Around the chat you have what you need while an agent works: the files it changed, undo for each turn, a terminal, an editor, a browser and git.
